Historical Texas Document. Scarce and Extremely Rare handwritten order from Fort Clark, Texas in 1895, Written to the Wells Bros. in Coffeyville, Kansas. Fort Clark was established June 20, 1852 and is probably most famous as being the home of the Seminole-Negro Indian Scouts. Also many military and most calvary units, including the Buffalo Soldiers, were stationed at Fort Clark at one time or another. It was just three short years before this letter was penned that the Famous Dalton Gang raide and were killed in Coffeyville, Kansas. This document has been professionally matted and shrink wrapped and is in Very Good Condition.
